The independent panel of judges may choose at their discretion to award a Judges' Special Prize which will go to a citizen of Leicestershire who has shown exceptional commitment to the community.

For an individual whose actions have mobilised, influenced or unified people or institutions to promote the values, responsibilities and benefits of good citizenship in Leicestershire.

Completed application deadline: Weds 29th September 2010

For an exceptional contribution to addressing a specific community need or problem in Leicestershire, demonstrating personal commitment and achievement in creating a sustainable solution for a community - a solution which can be replicated or adapted for use elsewhere.

Completed application deadline: Weds 24th November 2010

For an individual who has made an exceptional contribution to volunteering in their community for a specific cause or charity and encouraged others to volunteer their time, skills and services to good causes.
 

Completed application deadline: Wed 26th January 2011

For an individual younger than 25 who has made an exceptional contribution to charity or to the Leicestershire community.  The winner will be a role model who can inspire other young people.
